As Chief Financial Officer, David is responsible for leading the company’s global finance organization, including the financial planning, accounting, tax, investor relations, and ESG teams. David joined Chegg in 2021 and served as its Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer, Corporate Controller, and Assistant Treasurer before taking on the CFO role. Prior to Chegg, David served as Chief Accounting Officer for Shutterfly, Inc., a digital retailer and manufacturer of personalized products and services, and before that, he was Senior Vice President and Controller at CBS Interactive, an online content network for information and entertainment and a division of CBS, Inc. At CBS, David was part of the leadership team that successfully launched the first OTT streaming content solution by a broadcast or cable network. Prior to CBS, David held positions at Netflix and Deloitte. With a wife who is a school teacher and two teenage daughters, the Longo household is passionate about increasing access to education and improving student outcomes. David holds a B.S. in Business Administration, with a concentration in accounting, from Boston University and is a licensed CPA.
