We are curious about the motivation of the candidate. We are frequently ask the candidates about how they improve their professional knowledge.

After receiving the CVs for an open position the teams decide which candidates they would like to invite for a first round reality check, which is usually a phone call, or a video interview. After that we usually send a homework for the candidates, and they can present their solution on a personal interview. The end of the process is a final round, which is a team fit meeting.

I don't think that any major changes needed. It's a great company with smart, open minded, and friendly people.

I think the advantage of the flat organisation is to be fully responsible of your own work. I really like it!

There are core hours (from 10AM to 4PM) when you need to be in the office, or if you are working from home you need to be available for your teams and others as well. But you can decide each day how to schedule the remaining 2 hours. For example you can go to swim in the morning hours, and leave the office later on that day. There are colleagues who usually run a few kilometers together in the morning. You can join them anytime!

The main place for working is one of our offices, but it it possible to work from home if it is needed. You need to discuss it with your team, and sign it in the common calendar.

ChemAxon is a completely flat organisation, so we don't have a strict hierarchy. There are different roles in the teams, but everyone is equal.

You can go for a vacation anytime you wish during the year. The team members are working together closely, so you need to inform your team before your vacation starts, and other stakeholders who could be affected.
