Mary A. Francis — Chief Governance Officer and Corporate Secretary at Chevron Corporation

Ms. Mary A. Francis has been the Chief Governance Officer and Corporate Secretary at Chevron Corporation since May 1, 2015. Ms. Francis provides advice and counsel to the board of directors and senior management on corporate governance matters, manages the company's corporate governance function and serves on the Law Function Executive Committee. She served as the Chief Corporate Counsel of Chevron Corporation from 2012 to May 1, 2015 and its Deputy Corporate Secretary from December 1, 2014 to MAy 1, 2015. She joined Chevron in 2002 as a Trademark Senior Counsel in the Corporation Law Department. In 2005, she was appointed to the position of Lead Senior Counsel in Chevron Shipping Company. In 2007, she was appointed to the position of Managing Counsel of Pipeline and Shipping in Global Gas. In 2009, she was appointed General Counsel of Chevron Asia Pacific, Exploration and Production Company. Ms. Francis has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Mount Holyoke College, a Master of Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley and a Juris Doctorate from the College of William and Mary.
