The leadership is doing a good job overall but there can be more expression for the value they have in their employees. While they always talk about collaboration, what actually happens is akin to the watchmaker theory.
The leadership team at Chrome River is exceptional and is the main reason why I remain continuously enthused about working here.

As the company expands the management is spread to thin. As a result, there is no individual leadership or career progression.

What is the best part about your compensation package?
no 401k matching, pay is ok but can be better, only medical is covered while dental/vision/etc aren't, snacks are getting better

It is fair and equitable. The 401K retirement plan is very good and the investment options are flexible based upon where you are with your career.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
No 401k matching, benefits are better now with the switch in provider, huge pay differences between employees. Have heard senior employees being compensated less than new hires
Benefits are generally good, but could improve with maternity coverage and 401k matching.

While everyone has their strengths, little is done to address team weaknesses. There's often a large dose of passive aggression which becomes toxic and discourages people from interacting with one another.
My team is exceptional in every way. Fun, smart, interesting and diverse individuals.

There are some coworkers who have great knowledge of the product and processes while others struggle to keep up (perhaps apathy). Unfortunately, there is little done to address this talent disparity.

Our teams have little to no structure. This needs to be changed so proper workflow processes can be created as opposed to the ad hoc start up mentality we have currently.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
You can easily get your tasks and projects done at the office. Very few restrictions, if any, that prevent you from completing your work. Most people are willing to help
The Chromie culture is the best that I have experienced at any company even after being in the workforce for over 20 years.

The passive aggression makes it very discouraging to go to work. The nature of the work and products are also exhausting and lack engagement.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
The work isn't very exciting but there is a lot to learn about the tech and processes. There can also be more exercises to improve team dynamic and communication as this appears to be a major barrier to progress
Our enviornment is not being scaled at a fast enough pace. This applys to our system structure to our HR department.
