Mr. David M. Rothenstein, also known as Russ, served as Secretary of Cyan, Inc. Mr. Rothenstein has been Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary at Ciena Corporation since November 2, 2008. Mr. Rothenstein is responsible for all aspects and functions of Ciena's worldwide legal affairs and serves as an integral Member of its Leadership team. He joined Ciena in 2001 and served as its Vice President and Associate General Counsel for the four years and also served as its Assistant General Counsel. Prior to joining Ciena, he practiced corporate, employment and technology law as well as business litigation at Paley, Rothman, Goldstein, Rosenberg & Cooper, Chtd., located in Bethesda. He served a Director of Cyan, Inc. since August 3, 2015. Mr. Rothenstein earned his Juris Doctor degree with honors from The George Washington University Law School and a Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude from Tufts University.
