Mr. James A. Frodsham has been Chief Strategy Officer and Senior Vice President of CIENA Corp. since March 2010. Mr. Frodsham served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Broadband Access Group at Ciena Corp. from October 2004 to October 2005. He served as Senior Vice President, General Manager of Cienas former Metro and Enterprise Solutions Group from May 2004 to October 2004. He joined Ciena in May 2004. He has nearly 20 years experience in the networking equipment space. From August 2000 to January 2003, Mr. Frodsham served as Chief Operating Officer of Innovance Networks Inc. He founded Innovance Networks Inc. He worked at Nortel Networks in optical networking at the component and systems level for 13 years and served as its Vice President, PLM Optical Networking Group from December 1998 to June 2000. He serves as a Member of the board of directors of Innovance Networks Inc. Mr. Frodsham received a Bachelor of Engineering Science degree from the University of Western Ontario.
