Ms. Denise M. Menelly has been Head of Technology & Operations and Executive Vice President at CIT Group Inc. since June 29, 2016. Ms. Menelly served as the Chief Operating Officer and Global Treasury, Sales of Merrill Lynch & Co., Inc. (BofA Merrill Lynch). Ms. Menelly served as Vice Chairman of Manufacturing at Citizens Financial Group, Inc. Ms. Menelly serves as Head of Operations at RBS Americas. She served as the Americas Chief Operating Officer at Royal Bank of Scotland PLC (RBS). She has more than 25 years experience leading positive change in a variety of banking operations, technology and client service functions. Prior to joining RBS Americas in 2008, she served as the Global Head of Securities, Fund Services Operations and Client Delivery in the Global Transaction Services (GTS) business of Citigroup. At Citigroup, her responsibilities included operations, product implementation and client service and her 6,000 employees supported these functions in more than 100 countries. Previously, Ms. Menelly spent six years with Bank of America Merrill Lynch, most recently as Head of Enterprise Shared Services. In this role she managed and transformed functions shared by the banks corporate, commercial and consumer business lines. She joined Bank of America in 2010 as the Chief Operating Officer for Corporate Banking and then became the Global Head of Commercial and Corporate Bank Operations, managing functions in more than 28 countries. Ms. Menelly implemented positive change in each role through digitization, process simplification, performance improvement, risk reduction, business alignment and talent management. Previously, Ms. Menelly spent 12 years at Citigroup from 1996 to 2008, implementing technology and process changes while increasing her responsibilities in various Operations and Technology roles. She served as the head of operations for RBS Citizens. She served as Head of Operations for the Commercial Business Group, Head of CitiCapital Operations, Head of Global Transaction Services Client Delivery and Head of Domestic Cash Management Operations. She began her career with Bankers Trust Company in 1983 and spent the next 13 years managing various operations and technology functions. When she left in 1996, she was the Director of Operations and the Head of Global Treasury and Trade Operations. She serves as a Vice Chairman at Citizens Bank. She serves as Vice Chairman of Citizens Financial Group, Inc. She played a leadership role in creating organizations and programs designed to help women succeed. She was a founding member of both Citigroups and Bankers Trusts Womens Councils. She serves as an Executive Board member of the National Center for Women in Information Technology (NCWIT) and for the past four years she has served as the Executive Sponsor for NCWIT's Awards for Aspirations a national award for high school girls studying computer science. She is a member of the YWCA Academy of Women Leaders and is a featured speaker at a number of industry-sponsored events focusing on women in business including, Deutsche Bank's Women on Wall Street??? (WOWST) conference. She has also served on the organizing committee for the Technical Executive Forum, sponsored by the Anita Borg Institute (ABI). Ms. Menelly has also served as a Global Ambassador in partnership with the nonprofit Vital Voices, providing mentorship to women leaders in developing countries. Ms. Menelly has been a champion for women in business and has played leadership roles in organizations and programs designed to help women succeed. Ms. Menelly graduated from Manhattan College in 1983, receiving a B.S. in economics.
