Joseph R. Dewhirst — Group Executive Vice President of Balance Sheet Strategies at Citizens National Bank

Mr. Joseph R. Dewhirst, also known as Joe, served as Group Executive Vice President of Balance Sheet Strategies of Citizens Bank (New Haven, MO). Mr. Dewhirst has 20 years of experience in balance sheet management. Mr. Dewhirst served as Group Executive Vice President and Treasurer of Citizens Financial Group, Inc. and Citizens Bank, N.A. He served as Corporate Treasurer of Bank of America Corporation from April 2004 to March 4, 2005. He served as Treasurer of Fleetboston Financial Corporation since August 31, 2003 and also served as its Senior Vice President. At Fleetboston, he was responsible for interest rate risk management, balance sheet strategies, liquidity and capital management. He served as Head of Asset/Liability Management (ALM) at Fleetboston Financial Corp. since 1996. He managed Fleetboston Financial Corp.'s portfolio of investment securities and swaps. Before joining Fleetboston Financial Corp. in 1993, he worked for 11 years at Bank of Boston, first in money market trading and interest rate derivatives groups and later in asset-liability and portfolio management. He served on the Executive Policy Committee of Royal Bank of Scotland Group PLC unit. He graduated from Harvard College in 1973, where he majored in Psychology and Social Relations. He earned Ph.D. in Social Psychology from Harvard University in 1978.
