Merced Cohen, one of the most highly respected women in lending, joined CIVIC in March 2017. Since then she has helped grow the organization from 55 employees to over 300. She currently oversees teams responsible for sales support, processing, valuations, underwriting, closing, quality, risk management, vendor management, construction financing, and people and culture.
With over 30 years of experience, her ability to apply the disciplines from conventional lending to the private money space helped CIVIC achieve efficiencies and reductions in cost per loan, while also increasing volume to over $1.3B annually.
