Hemal leads Cloudera’s global 350-person professional services, certification, and training services organization, informed by his 13 years experience in the industry in both IT and professional services capacities. He has been at Cloudera for 7 years, most recently as chief of staff to the CEO. Prior to that, he led the Cloudera/Hortonworks merger efforts and spent six years in the field, growing Cloudera’s most strategic customers from their initial POCs. Previously, Hemal spent four years at GE, primarily working in IT—owning data assets and providing insights to the business, with a heavy focus on financial services—and participating in the prestigious Information Management Leadership Program at GE Capital in EMEA. Hemal has a bachelor’s of science degree in business information systems from John Moores University in Liverpool as well as a postgraduate certificate with distinction in international business management from the University of Twickenham in London.
