Mr. Christopher K. Bowen, also known as Chris, Esq. has been the Chief Regulatory Counsel and Managing Director of CME Group Inc. since September 2009. Mr. Bowen also serves as General Counsel and Chief Administrative Officer of COMEX. He served as the Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel of New York Mercantile Exchange Inc. since February 2002 and served as its Secretary. He served as Co-General Counsel of CMEG NYMEX Holdings Inc. since 1997 and its Chief Administrative Officer since February 2002. He served as Secretary of NYMEX Holdings Inc. from 2006 to January 2008. Mr. Bowen served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel and Associate General Counsel of Nymex Exchange. Other positions he has held include Counsel and Manager of futures compliance at Morgan Stanley & Co., Attorney and Advisor at the CFTC division of trading and markets, and judicial law clerk for judge Joseph H. Kaplan, in the Circuit Court for Baltimore City. He serves as a Director of Columbia College Alumni Association. Mr. Bowen has served on Numerous Industry and Civic Committees and serves as s a Member of the Executive Committee of the Futures Industry Association Law and Compliance Division. He is a member of the Committee on Futures Regulation of the New York City Bar Association. Mr. Bowen holds a bachelor's degree in political science from Columbia University and a J.D. from the University of Maryland School of Law.
