Susan M. Schultz — Executive Director and Counsel to Executive Chairman & President at CME Group

Ms. Susan M. Schultz has been Executive Director and Counsel to Executive Chairman and President at CME Group Inc. since May 22, 2012. Prior to joining CME Group, Ms. Schultz gained more than 30 years of legal and regulatory experience in the derivatives industry. She served as the Managing Director, Group Deputy General Counsel and Chief Operating Officer of the LCA Division of Newedge Group. She also worked for Newedge as the Managing Director and Deputy General Counsel, and Deputy General Counsel and Global Head of Compliance. Her background also includes General Counsel and Associate General Counsel roles with Newedge Financial Inc. (formerly, Calyon Financial Inc.). She began her career with the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME), serving as Staff Attorney, In-house Counsel, Assistant Corporate Secretary and Director, Memberships during her 10-year tenure. Ms. Schultz holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science, magna cum laude, from John Carroll University and a JD, with distinction, from The John Marshall Law School.
