Ms. Susan M. James, also known as Sue, served as a Consultant of Ernst & Young from June 2006 to December 2009. During, Ms. James's tenure at Ernst & Young, she was the Lead Partner or partner-in-charge for the audit work for a significant number of technology companies, including Intel Corporation, Sun Microsystems, Amazon.com, Autodesk and the Hewlett-Packard Corporation and for the Ernst & Young North America Global Account Network. She joined Ernst & Young in 1975 and was its Partner from 1987 to 2006. She serves as a Director of the Tri-Valley Animal Rescue. She has been a Director of Coherent, Inc. since 2008. She served as a Director of Applied Materials, Inc. since December 8, 2009. Ms. James served as an Independent Director at Yahoo! Inc. Yahoo! Inc. (Now known as Altaba Inc.) from January 11, 2010 to June 30, 2016. She served as an Executive Member of the Board of Directors of the Ernst & Young Americas from January 2002 to June 2006. She is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Ms. James holds a BS from Hunter College and a BS from San Jose State University.
