A report consists of the following components:

    Component

    Description

    Dimensions

Dimensions allow you to “slice and dice” your data according to different attributes. For example, add a dimension of Year to display your data by year or even filter specific years.

    Measures

Measures are the actual quantitative measurements of your data. Different measures are available based on the report type you choose.

    All Fields

    Show both dimensions and measures

Note that you can search for a specific dimension or measure in the search line.

    Filters

Add filters to include only certain data in your report. For example, if you filter by the year 2019, only the data for 2019 is included in the report.

You can filter on almost every dimension and measure you see on the left bar.

When you hover the field you want to filter, click on the filter option (it will become purple)

Another option, you can click on a dimension value, and it will offer you to filter according to it.

The field will be added to the filter bar:

You will see the field in the filters bar with options such as is equal, contains, etc.:

In the value box you will see drop down of the values in this field:

If you want to remove filter, click on the X mark on the right:

In date filter you have different options such as: in the past X days/months/complete months (not include current month), is on the day (specific day), is in range, etc.

Note: when you select date range y, it doesn’t include the “until date”, so you need to select until the day after the day you want

    Selections

In order to select a dimension or measure (to present in the report), you need to click on it, and it will become white and will appear in the output table: (dimensions are in blue and measures are in orange)

    Pivoting Dimensions:

Multiple dimensions are often easier to look at when you pivot one of the dimensions horizontally. Each value in the dimension will become a column in your Look. This makes the information easier to consume visually and reduces the need to scroll down to find data. Looker supports up to 49 pivoted values.

To pivot a dimension, click PIVOT for that dimension. Before running the query, be sure that you also have included at least one unpivoted dimension and at least one measure. You can pivot additional dimensions as desired but must always include at least one unpivoted dimension.

    Removing Fields:

You can remove a field from your report by clicking the selected field in the field picker or by choosing Remove from the column’s gear menu:

    Report generation:

Sometimes a summary of your data is useful. You can add column totals to your report by clicking the “Totals” checkbox in the upper right:

then running the report by clicking “Run” checkbox in the upper right:

    Sort & Order Data

    Order data:

You can reorder columns in the Data section by clicking on a column header and moving the column to its desired position.

Columns are organized in the Data section by field type: dimensions, measures, and row totals. Columns can be reordered within each field type but cannot be moved out of their field type section. For example, dimension table calculations can be rearranged among themselves, but you cannot place a dimension table calculation between two measures.

    Sort data:

Click on any column header to sort (double click will order it descending)

    Export Data

Once the report is ready, you can export it to excel by clicking the gear button located next to the run button on the right and select “download”:

    In the download window,

you can select the file format (Excel)

in the limit section, please mark “All results” (in the looker UI you will always see only 5000 rows so in order to export all rows (more than 5000) you need to mark this

in the file name section, enter the name for the excel file (English only)

note that the date format in the excel file will be according to your excel definitions

    One-time

The one-time button allows you to filter the population and perform onetime on it.

In order to enable this button, you must build a report (and run it) with the “membership key” field that is under Members -personal details

    Como Templates

Como has created for you some recommended templates you can open via the “Explore our out of the box reports” under the report menu.

    Business templates

You can create your own reports and save it as business templates. The Template is a tool that lets us keep reports that we want to generate regularly (monthly sales report for example).

Save template- create and filter report and then click on “Save as template”

Open saved template- click on “Load template” and select the report you want to open

    Dimensions

You can filter or breakdown your data according to different dimensions.

In some of the dimensions you can find additional information about the field.

Sales by members (Item)/ Sales (Item)

    Sales with Deals (Item)

Total revenue from items in purchases that contain deals used (total spend)

    Note: Ticket vs Item Measures

Sales and spend can be measured in two ways. If the data is filtered by a specific item, Sales (Ticket) include the total amount spent on purchases which included the item, while Sales (Item) include only the amount spent on this specific item. Even without a filter, these measures can be different based on how the POS reports discounts if the POS excludes specific items (like delivery fees) or rounding.

  • Comillia AI Campaign is an automatic campaign based on a self-learning algorithm and enables you to maximize your revenue. The model optimizes recommendations based on past user behavior, so that the more you use it, the more accurate your results. Using machine learning and AI you can access and apply all the customer information available to you, together with their behavior trends, to create meaningful campaigns.

    How it works:

Select a gift that will be sent automatically to specific members, along with a communication message (SMS/ push/email).

Note: the gift must be valuable, for example, 30\% off entire ticket or 1+1 on a valuable item, and should be configured as redeemable for 1 week from the moment the member received it.

Using a set of behind-the-scenes tools, the system classifies members based on their historical behavior, in a way that strive to generate positive ROI of the campaign, while avoiding subsidizing visits for members that would have come anyway.

Every member is targeted only once per 90 days (meaning, once a member is selected by the model to be part of the campaign population, this member won’t be selected again for at least 90 days).

    Results and KPIs

The following KPIs are available for the campaign:

Revenue KPIs indicate the added value achieved by the campaign over similar members that didn’t participate in the campaign (control group).

    Comillia hint

When you attempt to interact with your members, Comillia will avoid from interacting with members who have already received marketing messages from your business lately.

    Point Shop Analysis

    Add a Points Shop

Add a Point Shop to allow members to buy gifts using the points they accumulate.

Members can earn points for their purchases. They can use these points to buy gifts in the Point Shop and then redeem it at the business.

‘Classic’ vs. Custom Points Shop Item

Classic Point Shop Item rewards members with a free item (free coffee for 100 points).

Custom Point Shop Item rewards members with a gift with any type of discountsuch as $10 off specific items. Use Custom Point Shop when you want, for example:

A Point Shop Item that gives discount which is nota free item. For example, Redeem 100 points and get $5 off on dessert.

A Point Shop Item that has a different name, description or image then the gift.

Create a ‘Classic’ Point Shop on Campaign Center

From Campaign Center tab, click Point Shop and then +item

Enter a name for your gift and add a description. The name and description you provide will be used as the name and description of the gift.

Note: You cannot have more than one gift with the same name.

Enter Point Shop Item Details according to the following pattern: Purchase <item> for <price in points> points.

    Item

Define the item (or item group) that will be given for free when the member redeems points.

Interested in Point Shop Item that gives another discount? Set- up Custom Point Shop

    Price in Points

Set an appropriate price in points for the gift. This depends on how points are accumulated (conversion ratio) and what kind of discount you'd like to provide members for this item.

Here's an example: Suppose that for every $1 they spend, they accumulate 1 point. To give members a 10\% reward on their purchases, 1 point should be equivalent to $0.10 in the Point Shop (so for every $1 they spend, they earn $0.10). Then if an item's price in the business is $20, it would cost 200 points.

    Choose Image

Add an attractive image for the gift in the Point Shop. The same image is used in the list and the details screen.

(Optional) add Membership and Time conditions

Membership condition - you can limit the Point Shop Item to be available only for specific members tag. For example, offer a special Point Shop Item only to your VIP members, or only to members who didn’t visit recently.

Time condition you can limit the Point Shop Item to be available only for a specific period, for example, special Points Shop Item for Christmas.

Click on “Activate”. The Points Shop Item will be available on your Point Shop immediately (no need to “Publish” app).

Create a ‘Custom’ Point Shop on Campaign Center

From Campaign Center tab, click Point Shop and then +item

Click on “Switch to Custom Point Shop”.

Enter a name for your gift and add a description.

Note: You cannot have more than one gift with the same name.

Set an appropriate price in points for the gift.

Add an attractive image for the Point Shop Item (or use the default image). The gift can have a different image in this case.

Optionally, add Membership and Time conditions.

Select the gift (or create a new one by clicking “Add new” on the Benefit dropdown) corresponding to this Point Shop gift.

Click on “Activate”. The Points Shop Item will be available on your Point Shop immediately (no need to “Publish” app).

Points Shop Migration From Hub 1.0 to Hub 2.0

If you already have an existing Point Shop on Hub 1.0 (old platform) and you are using Point Shop on your Mobile App, then adjust your Mobile App to work with Hub 2.0 Point Shop:

Set- up your Point Shop on Campaign Center.

Set “Point Shop Version” to be: v2 [Hub 1.0 -> App -> Branding (new) -> Design (new)].

    Points Shop at POS

Encourage your members to redeem their points by purchasing Point Shop Items via the POS. Points Shop Items are available for the member based on their points balance, which will be displayed to the cashier once the member is identified at the POS. The cashier can then offer the member to purchase the item in exchange to redeem their points.

Set up: set “Point Shop at POS” to be: available [Hub 1.0 -> Operation -> Settings -> POS Settings -> Point Shop].

    Typical Flow:

The business creates Point Shop on Hub 2.0 Campaign Center.

The member identifies at the POS (usually by phone number).

Point Shop Items are available for the member based on the member’s points balance will be displayed at the POS Gift List.

The member tells the cashier which Point Shop Item they want to purchase.

The cashier selects the gift (i.e., Point Shop Item) from the member's gift list. The points are deducted from the member’s points balance and the discount is applied to the purchase.

    Notes:

The flow is supported for businesses with POS API v2.8 and v4.0 with Gift List.

Point Shop Items that were set- up on Hub 1.0 (old platform) will not be displayed at the POS.

Due to the integration of technical aspects, the flow is restricted in a way that a member can purchase only one Point Shop Item of the same type within a purchase. For example: Soft Drink for 100 points and Dessert for 200 points, A member cannot purchase via POS two Point Shop Items of soft drink (can purchase one Soft Drink and one Dessert) in the same purchase.

In multiple-member purchases, the flow is restricted in a way that a specific Point Shop Item cannotbe purchased by 2 members in a purchase. Two members can purchase two different Point Shop Items. For example: Soft Drink for 100 points and Dessert for 200 points, member 1 and Member 2 cannot purchase a soft drink via POS Point Shop (Member 1 can purchase one Soft Drink and Member 2 can purchase Dessert) in the same purchase.

    Point Shop Analysis

Analyze the performances of your Point Shop by checking how many times each Point Shop item was purchased, and from what source- App or POS.

  • Recruit new members and bring more customers to your business by setting- up a Traffic Acquisition Coupon.

    Typical Flow:

The gift can be intended for new and existing members or for both.

    5. When the member identifies at the POS using their phone number, the gift will be available to be redeemed.

    Set- up:

Gifts are only redeemable by members, while promo codes can be redeemed by any customer (including non-members). However, if an identified member redeems a promo code, you can still view it in their Hub profile logs.

Gifts appear in the app and the POS gift list, while promo codes do not.

Gifts are sent to members using a rule or one-time activity. Promo codes can be promoted to customers in different ways by the business. If needed, you can also add a limit for the max number of punches they can get in a single purchase.

Note:For classic punch cards created in the Campaign Center, the member will automatically receive a punch when they buy the punch item.

Note: If you want to give a fixed number of punches for each purchase that includes an eligible item (ex: they get 1 punch no matter how many coffees they buy), create the action in Simple Mode and specify the eligible items in the conditions on top (ex: Shopping cart contains at least 1 from coffee items).

    Send Overflow Punches

For cases when a member is entitled to more punches than the number of punches left in their punch card, they will automatically receive their overflow punches in their new card if the card is renewed after they punch the last punch.

Note: Make sure to specify which punch card in the condition. By default, the action is also delayed by 1 minute to ensure the member first receives their new punch card before they receive the overflow punches.

For rules based on making a purchase, you can configure an action in Simple Mode or Repeat Mode.

In Simple Mode, all actions (except for point accumulation) will occur a fixed number of times for the specific purchase, regardless of what the member spends or how many items they buy. For example, give members a coupon when they spend over $100.

In Repeat Mode, you can allow the action to repeat several times for the same purchase based on what the member spends and how many items they buy. Send an SMS to members that didn’t purchase in the last 2 months to invite them to stop by.

Send a reminder to members that received a specific benefit but didn’t yet redeem it.

    Member Attributes

You can filter members according to different member attributes. The attributes that you can choose from are the ones in your registration form and additional system ones like tag, if they allow SMS, etc.If you choose multiple member attributes, then ALL of them must be satified for the activity to apply to a member. For example, the member is tagged student AND is an app user.

You can also specify the membership status (i.e., registered, pending, or non-registered app users). For example, if you want to send an in-app message to users that installed the app but haven't yet registered, you would need to apply the rule tonon-registered app users. Or if you want to register a member that paid for their membership, you would need to apply the rule topendingmembers.

    Member Actions & Criteria

The following actions are currently available. For each action, you can define the date range along with additional criteria. If you add multiple actions (or even member attributes), then all of the filter criteria must be satisfied by each member.

    Member Actions & Multiple Occurrences

By filtering members according to multiple occurrences of an action, you can target members based on behavioral patterns. For example, reward engaged customers based on benefit redemption and point usage, target customers based on lifetime value or target relevant customer for new item recommendations.

For relevant actions, you can filter based on how many times the action occurred. For purchases, you can also filter based on the total value of the purchases (i.e., the sum of total spend for all purchases).

Note: If you add criteria, all the criteria must be satisfied for each action occurrence (see examples). However, you don’t need to add criteria to filter by the number of times the action occurred.

Example 1:Spent over $100 in at least 5 purchases

Example 2: Spent at least $500 total (lifetime) in the Manhattan location

Example 3: Opened the app at least 6 times last week

Example 4: Redeemed at least 4 benefits in the last 3 months

Example 5: Purchased baby products in at least 6 purchases in the last 2 months

(for example, to promote new baby items)

    How It Works

    STEP 1: Add Balance

The member accumulates credit for their purchases, or buys it through their app or POS.

    Create rules

    STEP 2: Share Credit

The member taps a share button from a dedicated app screen, and then selects which platform to use (such as email, SMS, Facebook, WhatsApp, etc.) and which friend to share with.

Note: The message text is autofilled but the member can edit it. The default text can also be changed by the business. If the member shares with multiple friends, the first to claim it will get it.

    STEP 3: Claim Credit

The friend opens a link from the message to a landing page, which allows the friend to download the app if they don’t already have it and claim the credit from the app.

    App Setup

    STEP 1: Share Screen

Add the share screen to your app by creating a layout block or by creating a catalog with button action Share Points or Credit. For the share amount, select fixed to specify the amount, or custom to allow the member to decide.

Note: If members buy credit at the POS, they can also open this screen from the message they get. If members buy credit in their app, they can also open it from the purchase confirmation screen.

    STEP 3: Custom Texts (Optional)

From Settings > Override App Text, you can customize any text that appears on:

    app share screen

    autofilled share message

    claim landing page

    Rule Setup & Settings

    STEP 1: Share Wallet

If the business only has one wallet (i.e., points OR credit), then this will be the wallet used for sharing. If the business has multiple wallets (i.e., both points and credit), then they can specify whether points or credit is shared from Operation > Settings > Point/Credit Settings.

STEP 2: Share After POS Purchase

If you allow members to buy credit at the POS, create a rule to send members a message after their purchase which allows the member to open the share screen:

    Trigger: Makes a purchase

Condition: Shopping cart contains at least 1 of the credit item code

Action: Send Push Notification or Open In-App Message with Share Points or Credit button

    STEP 3: Confirmation Messages (Optional)

to send push or in-app messages to the sender when they share credit. To allow them to share again with this friend, you can add a button action that opens the Share Points or Credit screen.

You can also create rules to send push, in-app messages, SMS or email to the sender when their friend claims the credit they shared with them, or to the friend when they claim their credit.

You can add dynamic texts to these messages to include the share amount, link, recipient name, sender name or wallet (points or credit).

    Logs

From the sender’s profile in the Hub, view logs for when they share credit and when their friend claims it. From the friend’s profile in the Hub, view logs when they claim the credit. These logs include the amount, wallet and recipient name when relevant.

Note: The share log appears when the member taps the Share button on the share screen, even if they don’t continue to share with their friends.

    Requirements

This feature is only available for the new gen app, and resubmission is required.

Only members can buy credit and they need the app to share it.

The friend must be a member and app user to claim their credit.

Allowing members to buy credit from the app requires an add-on payment service.

Allowing members to buy credit from the POS requires the Payment/PayWithBudget API call.

  • For businesses that have a POS integration, you can secure credit/point transactions by requiring members to perform additional steps to verify their identity.

Note: This article refers to credit payments but also applies to point payments at the POS.

    Without Verification

If you choose not to use a verification method, member will only need to identify at the POS before paying with credit. To prevent members from identifying using another member’s info, we recommend asking members to identify by generating a 4-digit ID code from the app.

    Using Verification Codes

You can require members to provide a verification code at the POS to pay with credit. You can either send them this code by SMS after they identify or allow them to generate it themselves from their app.

Note: If you select Points/Credit for your Quick Pay wallet (see image below), a verification code is not required only if the member identifies using a 4-digit ID code (temporary code generated from their app).

    To set up verification codes:

    From Operation > Settings > Point/Credit Settings:

Select Yes for Payment Requires Verification Code.

Add the Payment Verification Code Expiration (for how long after the member receives the code that it can be used).

To send verification codes by SMS,select Yes for Allow Auto-SMS Verification.

To allow members to generate a verification code:

Create a layout block with a Pay with Points/Credit at POS. Then add this layout block to a custom screen.

Note: Each business can decide if payment at the POS can be performed with either credit or points (but not both). Similarly, they can choose if credit or points can be used for the Point Shop. This article will refer to credit, but it also applies to points.

    Pay with Credit (POS Integration)

Important Note: To pay with credit at the POS, the POS integration must support the PayWithBudget or payment API call.

Before a member can pay for an item using credit, they need to identify at the POS. To secure the credit transaction, you can require members to perform additional steps to verify their identity.

To allow members to pay with credit:

From Operation > Settings > Point/Credit Settings, select Creditfor Pay with Credit.

Optional: Enter the Pay with Credit Ratio (default is 1).

You can also specify a minimum or maximum amount for each credit payment.

Set up your verification method (recommended).

    Receive Credit

    Buy Point Shop Gifts

Instead of using points, you can allow members to use credit to buy gifts from the Point Shop. Make sure to select Creditfor Purchase Item from Point Shop from Operation > Settings > Point/Credit Settingsand to allow members to receive credit by one of the methods above (see ).

Note: You can choose to either use credit or points for the Point Shop, but not both. We recommend using points for this module.

Note: This article refers to credit payments but also applies to point payments at the POS.

    AccumulateCredit

Based on their purchases, members can accumulate credit using a rule. For example, for every $1 they spend in the business, they can accumulate $0.10 to their credit.

    STEP 1: Create Point Shop

Create your Point Shop from Benefits > Point Shop (after creating your gifts).

    STEP 2: Add Widget

From Content > Layout > Home Screen (NEW), select Point Shop Widget.

Then specify how many next rewards to show in the widget (i.e. Point Shop items that cost more than the member’s current balance).

For example, suppose the Point Shop has items with the following prices: 50, 100, 150, 200, 300 and the member has 100 points. If you select to show the 2 next rewards, then items with these prices will be shown: 50, 100, 150, and 200 (since the member can already afford the first 2 items, it presents an additional 2 “next reward” items).

Note: These items are displayed in an animation, starting from the most expensive.

    Auto-Redeem Points Widget

You can encourage members to accumulate more points by automatically redeeming their points for a reward once they reach a certain number (such as a free hamburger for 1000 points). You can now add a new widget to your Home Screen to show members their progress towards their reward.

    Step 1: Create Redeem Rule

To automatically redeem points for a gift when members reach a certain balance, create a rule :

    When Member

    Receives points

    Conditions

New balance is greater than or equal to 1000

    Action

    Redeem Points (1000 Points)

    Action

    Send Gift (the reward)

    Action

Send Push (or another message to notify the member of their new gift)

    Step 2: Add Widget

From Content > Layout > Home Screen (NEW), add Auto-Redeem Points Widget (see Widgets ):

    Field

    Description

    Wallet

Which wallet is redeemed in the rule (points or credit)

    Layout

Direction that the image is filled to indicate the progress:

    Vertical from bottom to top

    Horizontal from side to side

    Points Needed for Redeem

Number of points needed to receive the gift (same as the rule)

    Step 3: Add Images

Progress is indicated in the widget using an image that fills up gradually. The image is empty when the member has no points and full when the member has enough points to redeem for their reward.

From Content > Branding (NEW) > Custom Icons (NEW), add images for the following icons:

    [NEW] Auto-Redeem Points - Empty

An image representing the empty state

    [NEW] Auto-Redeem Points - Full

An image representing the full state

Note: When choosing your images, keep in mind that they will be overlapped and the “full” one will be revealed gradually to indicate progress. So the empty image must represents an empty version of the full one.

Note: Instead of showing “to get my reward” on the widget, you can specify the reward from the app texts (for example, change it to “to get my hamburger”). Learn More

    Tiles Widget

Each tiles widget can contain 1-3 tiles, and you can add up to 3 tiles widgets with different tiles.

    STEP 1 Create Custom Screen

All buttons (including icons, titles and actions) are specified using a special custom screen. Since you can add up to 3 different tiles widgets for your app (where each widget can have 1-3 buttons), you can create up to 3 different custom screens for tiles widgets (each defining the buttons for a different widget).

    STEP 2 Add Widget

From Content > Layout > Home Screen (NEW), select Tiles Widget. Then select the custom screen you created containing your tiles (ex: Tiles Widget Buttons 1), and the layout (text and icons, icons only or text only).

    Catalog Widget

You can add a catalog widget to share your specials, news & updates, photo gallery, coupons, and more. You can fill them with items and add them to your home screen.

Note: It is recommended to use to for catalog with up to 7-8 items.

    Requirements

The business must have a POS integration which supports Como payments to actually allow members to pay with credit at the store.

    Setup

    Create a web view:

    Custom Amount:

    Base URL

    https://payments.onlineorderalert.com/como/payment

    Default Params

    tmpToken

    locationId

    Custom Params

    paymentFlow - topUp

    Fixed Amount:

    Base URL:

    https://payments.onlineorderalert.com/como/payment

    Default Params:

    tmpToken

    locationId

    Custom Params:

    paymentFlow - topUp

price - XXX (no signs- Just numbers. No decimal)

    Create a catalog:

Create a category for a specific credit amount.

Add an image to this category that tells the member how much credit they will buy and how much it will cost.

Note: We recommend giving them bonus credit to encourage them to load (ex: pay $20, get $25 worth of credit).

You can repeat steps 1-2 to add multiple credit amounts for the member to buy.

Create a layout block that opens this catalog.

Add a wallet screen to the app

Create a rule to add credit to their balance when the payment succeeds (with a condition of the payment amount).

Note: The amount of credit should be the amount promoted on the credit item in the catalog (which can be greater than the amount they actually paid).

  • Boost salesby creating exclusive offers for members to buy through the app and then claim in the business. For example, sell a breakfast for two for $15 or a new TV for $500. Change the offers regularly to keep it interesting and to encourage members to buy in advance so they don’t miss out.

    How It Works

The member selects the desired coupon and taps Buy.

The member confirms the payment amount.

The member adds their credit card info (or chooses a saved credit card from their app wallet).

The payment is processed and the coupon is added to their app giftsto redeem later.

    Benefits

Reward club members by offering them exclusive dealsthrough the app.

By limiting the amount of time the offer is available, members are encouraged to buy the offer so they don't miss out.

Provide members with an incentive to conveniently and easily purchase items in advance.

Give members the opportunity to increase their purchase with other items when they visit the business to redeem their offer.

    Setup

Create gifts corresponding to the coupons you want to offer.

Note: The gift should provide the member something for free at the POS since they will pay for it when they “buy” the catalog item in the app.

Create a web view with the coupon price:

    Base URL

    https://payments.onlineorderalert.com/como/payment

    Default Params

    tmpToken

    locationId

    Custom Params

    paymentFlow - payInApp

itemCode - XXX (Your decision which number)

itemName - The name of the item (your decision)

price - YYY (no signs- Just numbers. No decimal)

Note: Add an item code here that will also be used in the rule It should be different than any item code at the POS (ex: appCoupon123)

Create a catalog for the coupons and add a category for each web view:

Attached the catalog to the relevant Layout Block.

Create a rule to send the gift when the payment succeeds (with a condition of the same item code used for the catalog item's payment button).

Note: The item should be the same as the item code that was added in step 2.

  • Members can pay for items in the app or store, using credit cards they added to their app.

    What are the costs?

In addition to your regular credit card processing fee, there's a fixed cost per transaction (charged by Como directly).

    What are the prerequisites?

For in-store payments, the business’ POS integration must support mobile payments. It is fully supported by any POS that implemented API version 4.0 or later. For version 2.8 or earlier, it might be supported depending on their implementation.

How does the business get the money?

Money is transferred directly into your account in the usual way that you receive credit card payments.

    Does Como have PCI compliance?

The external platform used to process the payment is PCI compliant. Como does not hold any credit card information.

Does the customer receive receipts or invoices?

It is recommended to send a confirmation of payment by SMS or email. Invoices should be issued by the business.

What types of credit cards are supported?

All the types that are supported by your credit card processor.

  • Credit can be accumulated, purchased or addedand then used as a form of payment to purchase items from the business (or the Point Shop). This guide explains the ways members can receive and use credit, and how to set up this module for a business.

    Why use Credit?

Credit is a great way to bring members back by allowing them to pre-pay for discounts in a business. For example, you can allow members to buy $25 worth of credit for only $20. What’s more, they can use credit to conveniently pay for items in the business with nothing more than their mobile device.

    Credit vs Points

Technically, either credit or points can be used to purchase items from the business or Point Shop. Either can also be accumulated, purchased or added. However, in practice, each is more suitable for a different purpose. Here’s what we recommend:

Allow members to accumulate points based on their purchases, and then use points to buy gifts from the Point Shop

Allow members to purchase credit, and then use creditto buy items in the business

  • The trigger button (claim) can be added to any app button, tile or welcome message. When tapped, it can trigger any rule you specify.

    Claim Example

A grocery store wants to provide members with coupons for one-time use. However, they don't want to send them all out as gifts since each member may only be interested in some of the coupons. Instead, they create a catalog of coupons, where each item has a "claim" button. When a member taps Claim, a rule is triggered that sends them this specific coupon as a gift. Then the member can redeem this coupon in the store.

    Tag Example

You can also use the trigger button as an internal "like" button, and tag the member based on the items they like. For example, when the member taps Like for a specific type of item (like shoes) or a specific item (like beer), you can tag them with a tag associated with the items. Then later you can send them tailored promotions based on the items they like (such as coupons for shoes or beer).

    Specify Your Trigger Button

You can have multiple trigger buttons in the app and for each button, you can trigger different rules when its tapped. To do this, you need to be able to identify which trigger button was tapped. For example, if a coupon is created for beer, we need to know that the member tapped Claim on the beer coupon in order to send them the beer gift.

To specify your trigger button, you need to associate itwith a particular item, asset or tag. Then when you create the rule based on when member taps "claim" button (trigger button), you can add a condition that specifies which item, asset or tag is associated with this button.

    Add Trigger Buttons

Add the trigger action to any button, tile or welcome message.

To set up a trigger (claim) button:

Select Trigger Action (or Claim) as the button action.

Select an item, select an asset or enter a tag to associate with this button.

Note: Specify the same item, asset or tag in the conditions of the automation.

Select whether or not to send a pop-up message when the member taps the button. If you select Yes, add a title and message text for the pop-up message.

  • There are many icon sets which are ready for you to use, mainly when creating layout blocks. You can edit any icon in this set. If you wish to upload a set of your own, contact your Como account manager for instructions.

    Some Important Notes

You cannot add a new icon to the set with a different name. You can only assign a new image to an existing icon in the set. For example, you can add a new image to the icon named icon_gift_color. Make sure not to replace an image for an icon whose original image you'd like to also use in the app.

If you can't see the current icon images,it's because you selected an icon set from Content >Branding > Design that's white. Select a set that's another color to see the icon images you plan to replace.

You can combine icons from various sets. For example, if the icon forthe back button is white and the header is white, you won't be able to see it in the header of the Home Screen. If you'd like to keep a white set for the other icons, you can replace only the icons appearing in the header. For more, .

    Add Custom Icons

    To add custom icons:

From the Content tab, click Branding (NEW)and then Custom Icons (NEW).

To replace an icon in the set, click Choose Image and upload your new icon.

Click Save next to the new icon.

    Combine Icon Sets

To combine icons from different sets:

From Content > Branding > Design, select the icon set containing the icon you'd like to use ina different set.

From Content > Branding (NEW)> Custom Icons (NEW), right-click the icon you want and click Save image as... to save the icon on your computer.

From Content > Branding > Design, select the icon set you'd like to add the icon to. Then click Save.

    Add layout blocks

    Setup

    To add a side menu:

From Content > Branding > Design: select Use side menu under Navigation type. Then click Save.

From Content > Custom screen > add aSide Menu screen:

Screen Title: SideMenuContent Specify Buttons for New Gen App: Side Menu Buttons.

    A. Select a layout for the side menu.

to the tiles (which are items in the navigation list)

Note: By default, the first block is Home. You can add up to 7 blocks. If you want to add less than 7, select Empty Block for the tiles you don't want to use.

    Then click Save.

    Left vs Right Side Menu

Whether the side menu opens from the left or right side of the screen depends on the direction of the app language:

LTR (left-to-right) apps, such as in English, have a left side menu by default

RTL (right-to-left) apps, such as in Hebrew, have a right side menu by default

This default, as well as the default text size of the menu, can be overwritten by request.

  • To comply with the GDPR and other privacy regulations (Know Your Data), members can request a report of the data collected on them since they joined the program (or downloaded the app)such as member details, member activity, and purchase history.

    How It Works

Member enters the Data Portability & Report app screen (from the new profile layout).

Member confirms or enters an email address for receiving the report.

Member automatically receives a data report by email within 7 days.

    Notes:

The email address is autofilled if we have one (such as from the registration form). The member can enter a different address here instead, however, it will only be used for sending this report and the email in their profile won’t be updated. If the format of the email is invalid (such as name@email), the member will not be able to submit the request.

Although there is no technical limit, we guide the member to request the data report up to once per month (or anytime if they also request to be forgotten).

    Data Report

The data report is sent in an email which contains links to 3 different files: member details, user actions, and purchase history. This email is sent to the member, the business (and other feedback email addresses), Como support, and Como legal. All these emails are paid by the business.

Reports are in English, except for the business specific text which is translatedsuch as gift names or names of registration form fields. The date/time in the files are according to the business time zone.

    Member Profile in Hub

If the member asks for a data report in other ways (such as via app feedback, or directly from the business), an option is available to send the report manually to the member from Find Members.

Note: There’s a permission tag for this button, but the button is displayed by default.

New logs can also appear in the member profile:

Member requested a report of their data *

Data report was sent to the member

Failed to send data report to the member

*only appears when member requested it via the dedicated app screen

  • Times are displayed according to different time zones in the Como Hub, depending on whether the action is related to members or to the Como Hub.

    Member Related Actions

Member related actions are actions that are perform by the member (in the app or business) or by someone else (such as an employee) on behalf of a member. This includes redeeming gifts, making a purchase, punching a punch card, etc. A log of these actions can be found in a member profile (from Find/Filter Members) under Latest Logs. These times are displayed according to the time zone of the location where the action was performed.

    Como Hub Related Actions

Como Hub related actions include actions performed by Como Hub users such as exporting a report from Filter Members. The time log of these actions is displayed according to the time zone of the browser that’s used to view the log. For example, if a Como Hub user exports a report at 10:30am, another Como Hub user in another time zone will view the same log according to the time zone of their browser (for example, 12:30pm).

The customer portallets customers register to the program, log in to their account, view their benefits and purchase history, update their details, and even buy gifts from the Point Shop. This allows businesses to launch their loyalty program before their app is ready and allows members to access their account without an app.

Note: Paid registration is not supported through the Customer Portal.

    Setup

The following is required to set up your customer portal.

    STEP 1: Specify Features

You'll need to decide which features to include in your portal and tell your Como account manager:

If to allow registration via the portal

Which rewards to display from the following:

    Point shop

    Punch cards

Credit or points (one or both)

If to display the My Activity screen which includes purchase history and point transactions

If to give the option to log in via plastic cards/membership number (only for migrating programs)

For Como Account Managers: Give this info to the integration team, with the business name, Location ID and API Key.

STEP 2: Colors, Images & Text

All colors and logos are automatically taken from the colors specified for your app (via the Como Hub)ensuring that your customer portal is branded to the colors of your business.

Images for your benefits are also taken from the Como Hub (chosen when the benefit is created). For the best user experience, the following sizes are recommended:

    Benefit Type

    Width

    Height

    Gift

    460 px

    290 px

    Punch Card

    500 px

    484 px

    Point Shop Item

    477 px

    557 px

All text that appears in the customer portal can be customized in the usual way. However, note that some of the text that appears in the customer portal also appears in the app (so changes you make may affect both). See Customize App Text

    STEP 3: Business Website

The business must add a link to the customer portal to their website. Contact Como for this link.

NOTE: For clubs that previously required membership cards before migrating to Como, additional steps may be required. Learn More.

  • Benefits can be free products or services, discounts on a specific item or the entire purchase, or any other promotions the business creates. At the POS, members can receive benefits when they perform any of these actions:

    Redeem gifts

    Redeem punch cards

    Use deals

Benefits can be defined by ususing discount types, or they can be defined by the POS usingitem codes or deal codes.

    Discount Type

You can define the benefit directly in the Como Hub, instead of in the POS. This benefit provides a discount on the entire purchase (not only specific items) and the discount can either be a fixed amount or a percentage.

Fixed Amount: For Discount Params Sum, enter the amount you'd like to discount off the purchase (such as $5).

Percent: For Discount Percent, enter the percentage such as 5 for 5\%. You can also limit the amount of the discount in limit. For example, if the discount percent is 10\% and the limit is $20, a member who purchases items totaling $300 will receive a discount of $20 instead of $30.

    Item Codes

When item codes are used to represent a benefit, they can only be used to give a specific item (product or service) for free or at a discounted price.

For Gift Item Codes (in POS), enter the item codes for the benefits you'd like to give your member. For example, enter the item code forfree coffee.

Note: You can add multiple item codes. For example, the business can offer more than one benefit, or if the business uses more than one POS company, each POS company will have a different item code for the same benefit.

    Deal Codes

Deal codes activate the POS's promotion system and can represent benefits that are more sophisticated. For example, 5\% off lighting or get a free tie with the purchase of any shirt.

For Gift Deal Codes (in POS), enter the deal codes for the benefits you'd like to give your member.

Note: You can add multiple dealcodes (for different benefits, or for different POS companies a business uses).

Punch cards for beer to members 18+ and for coffee to younger members

Students 15\% off their purchase, and other members 10\% off

Different joining gifts for different locations based on the member's Home Location

    Create Cases

To split an activity into several cases:

From the activity, click Split to several cases.

    Optional: Enter a case description.

Select the condition for when this case should apply.

    Important Notes:

Only one case can be applied for each activity. If the conditions of multiple cases are satisfied, the first case will apply.

If you add general conditions in the "When" section, these conditions will apply to all cases.

If you add multiple conditions for the same case, all conditions must be satisfied for the case to apply.

Add the action or discount for this case.

Click Add another case and repeat the configurations above.

Note: When you add another case, it is automatically created with the same type of condition as the first. However, you can delete this condition and add a different one if needed.

    Manage Cases

You can manage the cases you created as follows:

Cases can be displayed as a summary or in detail. Click Expand all to view all the cases in detail or click Collapse all to view them in summary view.

Click Cancel split to cancel the different cases (but note that all the cases will be deleted and you'll have to re-configure the action).

Use the arrows to change the case priority, since the order of the cases is important. The actions of only the first case that applies to the member is performed. For example, suppose Case 1 applies when a member spends over $100, and Case 2 applies when a member spends over $200. If a member spends $300, then Case 2 should apply. But if Case 1 is before Case 2 in the list, Case 1 will apply since $300 is over $100.

    How It Works

Actions that can repeat for the same purchase are configured in Repeat Mode(except for point accumulation, which is configured in Simple Mode).

In the example above, the member will get a free coffee mug for each $100 they spend. So if they spend $250 in one purchase, they will get 2 mugs. In general, every time A appears in the purchase, B will occur.

Note: Certain actions, like sending a push, will only occur once even if they are configured in Repeat Mode.

    Examples

    Here are some examples:

Example 1: Get a punch in the punch card for each coffee

Example 2: For each 5 items you buy from cosmetics, get 2 free mugs.

Example 3: For each $100 you spend on cosmetics, get a free mug.

  • When you create a rule or deal in the Campaign Center, you can choose to apply it to specific members. For example, you can apply it only to members with a specific tag such as students, VIPs, or members that haven't visited in 2 months.

By default, rules and deals apply to all registered members.

However, you can click to change it to apply to all members (which also includes Pending members who haven't completed their registration payment, andNon-Registered App Users), or to specific members.

You can specify members according to different member attributes.

For example, if you want to send an in-app message to users that installed the app but haven't yet registered, you would need to apply the rule to non-registered app users. Or if you want to register a member that paid for their membership, you would need to apply the rule to pending members.

    Field

    Description

    Shopping cart

Quantity of items contained in the shopping cart

    Total spend

Total amount spent on the purchase

    Spend on specific items

Total amount spent on specific items in the purchase

    Location ID

Identifier of the location (branch) where the purchase occurred

    POS ID

Identifier of the POS "terminal" where the purchase occurred

    Purchase tags

Tags sent by the POS for a purchase (depends on what the POS sends)

    No. identified members

Number of members that identified on this purchase

    Order type

Type of transaction such as take away, dine in, or delivery (depends on what the POS sends)

    Purchase source type

Origin of the transaction such as POS, Website, or App (depends on what the POS sends)

    Purchase source name

Integrator name, such as POS name (depends on how it's sent)

    Mean of payment

Methods used to pay, such as credit card, points, cash, etc.

    Important Notes:

Values must be entered exactly the way the POS sends them. Check with Como Support Team if you are not sure how.

If the member pays with different means for the same purchase (ex: points and cash), the rule still considers the entire purchase amount and not only the amount paid by a specific means of payment. For example, if you give different accumulation rates for cash and the member uses both points and cash for the same purchase, the accumulation rate applies to the entire purchase amount and not just the amount paid using cash.

    Probability

It can be used only when splitting into cases in rules and one-time activities.

This allows sending different actions based on probability. For example: when members have a birthday, send them a scratch card 40\% will receive a 15\% off voucher while 60\% will receive a free dessert.

    Notes:

You can use this capability for A/B testing.

It is not built to support stocks.

When having more than 2 cases (e.g: 70\% & 30\% probabilities), The \% of probability that you need populate in each case the actual probability you want. e.g: you want to split the population to: 50\%, 25\%, and 25\%: case 1: 50\%, case 2: 50\% (50\% from the 50\% population after case 1), case 3: 100\% (what's left from the population).

    Condition Examples

Example 1:Member buys at least 1 coke

Example 2: Member spends at least $100

Example 3: Member spends at least $50 on appliances

Example 4: Member purchases at a specific location

Example 5: 50\% of the members will get 50 points, 25\% will get coffee, and 25\% will get SMS.
