Exam Voucher Guidelines
All CompTIA exam voucher purchases are non-refundable.
Vouchers have an expiration date typically one year from the purchase date that cannot be extended.
You must take your exam by the voucher expiration date.
Once you’ve used a voucher to register for an exam, you cannot transfer it to someone else.
Vouchers are certification-specific and are not interchangeable between certification exams.
You may use each voucher only once for a single exam. If you need to retake the exam, you will need to purchase a new voucher.
If you need to reschedule your exam, you must do so at least 24 hours prior to your exam appointment time.
If you don’t reschedule at least 24 hours prior to your appointment time or don’t appear for your appointment, the voucher is still considered redeemed. You will need to purchase a new voucher to take the exam you missed.
Certification retirement dates supersede voucher expiration dates. If a CompTIA certification is being retired, you must take the exam prior to the certification retirement date. Vouchers are non-refundable and will be void after the certification retirement date.
Your Voucher Order
After purchasing a voucher from the CompTIA Marketplace, you’ll receive two emails. The first is your order summary and the second contains your voucher details.
If you don’t receive either of these emails, check your spam and junk folders. If you need additional assistance with your order, contact [email protected].
CompTIA cannot help with vouchers purchased from other companies. For questions about these vouchers, please contact the party through which you obtained them.

For example, if you achieved a CompTIA A+ CE certification associated with the 700 series exams, you can earn CEUs for the CertMaster A+ 800 series courses.
If you achieved a CompTIA CE certification based on the most current exam objectives, you cannot receive CEUs for the CertMaster course based on the same exam objectives.

For Individuals
As an individual, you have two options:
Buy a Course: You can purchase individual CertMaster course licenses on the CompTIA Marketplace using a credit card or PayPal account. You’ll receive a confirmation email with an access code for your initial registration.
Complete a Trial: You can access a free trial on the CompTIA CertMaster Practice page. Once you’ve completed the trial, you’ll have the option to purchase the full course. After completing the payment, use the email address and password you used for the trial to access the full course. An access code will not be required.
For Businesses
CompTIA CertMaster courses can be purchased in business packs in quantities of 5, 10 or 25. The buyer will receive a confirmation email with the corresponding access codes for the number of licenses purchased. These will need to be distributed to the individual learners with a link to the initial registration page.
CompTIA can handle the distribution of access codes to individual learners and offers robust reporting tools to monitor individual and classroom progress. Contact [email protected] for additional information and to begin the process.
If making a bulk purchase in excess of 250 licenses, please contact the CertMaster operations team at [email protected].
If you need to pay by wire transfer or check, please contact your CompTIA account manager or email [email protected] for more information.
Additional License Information
All sales are final no refunds, exchanges or extensions.
CertMaster licenses are active for 12 months from the date of purchase.
CertMaster licenses, once activated, are assigned to an individual and are non-transferable.
Purchases must be made on the CompTIA Marketplace to receive a CompTIA premier member discount, partner discount or redeem a coupon code.
Since the CompTIA A+ certification consists of two separate exams, there are two separate CertMaster courses for A+.
