Dr. Philipp Lang, M.D., MBA founded ConforMIS, Inc. in 2004 and served as its Chief Executive Officer and President from January 2008 to November 14, 2016. Dr. Lang has set the strategic vision for ConforMIS and defined product development priorities. He has an extensive background in the medical device industry and has provided strategic leadership and project development. He served as Director of Musculoskeletal Radiology at the Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. Dr. Lang serves as the Chairman at ConforMIS, Inc. He was Distinguished Weissman Chair at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. He serves as a Member of Scientific Advisory Board of Imaging Therapeutics, Inc. He served as a Member of the Scientific Advisory Board of ConforMIS, Inc. He is an Associate Professor of Radiology at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Lang has received numerous national and international awards for his research in osteoporosis, arthritis and tumor imaging. He is a Co-inventor on more than 80 issued and pending patents. He has participated in clinical trials for regulatory approval of several medical devices and drugs. Dr. Lang has an M.B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles Anderson School of Management and an M.D. from Albert-Ludwigs University, Freiburg School of Medicine in Germany.
