David Cerveny J.D. — Chief Legal Officer, General Counsel and Secretary at ConforMIS

Mr. David Cerveny, J.D, has been the Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel of ConforMIS Inc. since October 2008 and serves as its Secretary. Mr. Cerveny served as Senior Vice President of Intellectual Property of ConforMIS Inc. and also served as its Vice President of Intellectual Property since March 2009. Mr. Cerveny is responsible for managing ConforMIS' legal affairs as well as for developing and implementing ConforMIS' intellectual property portfolio and strategy. He served as Chief Intellectual Property Counsel for Palomar Medical Technologies, where he managed a patent portfolio widely regarded as the strongest in that industry. He was an associate with Proskauer Rose and a partner at Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP. In total, he has over ten years of experience in all aspects of intellectual property and medical devices. He served for five years with McDonnell Douglas Corporation developing digital flight control systems for military aircraft. He has successfully represented clients in a host of domestic and international venues and was twice named a Massachusetts Super Lawyers rising star. He successfully defended Palomar Medical in a patent infringement trial in the Eastern District of Texas, where a jury determined that there was no infringement and that the asserted patent claims were invalid. He earned a J.D. from Boston College Law School. Mr. Cerveny earned a B.S. in biomedical engineering from Marquette University.
