Anna P. Engh — Partner at Covington & Burling LLP

Ms. Anna P. Engh is employed at Covington & Burling in the position of Partner. Her practice focuses on the area of insurance coverage. She has a wide range of experience in the insurance coverage area, including handling coverage litigation and negotiating insurance recoveries on behalf of corporate policyholders for a variety of claims, including asbestos, breast implants, lead, and other mass tort claims; environmental liability; political risks; and directors and officers and errors and omissions claims. Her experience also includes representation of policyholders in bankruptcy proceedings; she is currently Special Insurance Counsel for Owens Corning in its Chapter 11 proceeding. Other clients that she represents in the coverage area have included Textron Inc., Nestle USA, Cytec Industries Inc., Societe Generale, and Dow Corning. Ms. Engh has significant experience in trial and appellate courts as well as in arbitration forums. Ms. Engh received her B.A. in 1981 from Davidson College, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. She received her J.D. from William and Mary Law School in 1989, where she graduated first in her class, was elected to the Order of the Coif and was managing editor of the William and Mary Law Review. After law school, she was a law clerk for Judge John Butzner on the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
