Mr. Andrew J. Thomas, also known as Andy, has been the Chief Executive Officer at Craft Brewers Alliance, Inc. since January 1, 2014 and served as its President of Commercial Operations since June 1, 2011. Mr. Thomas is accountable for all sales and marketing activities at CBA. He served as a consultant for CBA. He has more than 20 years of experience in consumer packaged goods and the beverage industry. He served as an Independent Marketing and Strategy Consultant and senior adviser to The Monitor Group. He spent more than 12 years at Heineken International, working with brewers and beers in more than 55 countries across four continents. He served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Heineken USA Incorporated from April 2005 to October 2007. He served as Marketing Research Manager of Heineken during His career Starting Days in 1995. He served as Vice President, Strategic Planning of Heineken USA Incorporated. He joined Heineken International in 2000 as Regional Export Manager of Central and South America, Caribbean, Africa and the Middle East before being promoted in 2003 to Managing Director for the Middle East/North Africa operating company, a position he held until being selected to lead Heineken USA. He made several significant contributions to Heineken USA during his initial tenure with the operating company including significant changes to increase the effective shipment of Heineken from the Netherlands to the USA. He also played a major role in solidifying the structure of the Heineken USA distributor network. He holds an MBA (Magna Cum Laude) in Marketing from the University of Rochester Simon Graduate School of Business and a BS (Magna Cum Laude) from Bryant College (RI).
