Executive Bio

Mr. George J. Batsakis served as Executive Vice President of National Security Group at SRA International, Inc. Mr. Batsakis is responsible for the development and execution of strategies to grow the business and strengthen relationships with commercial technology partners to get Next Generation and Enterprise IT solutions tailored for its customers. With more than 20 years of government-related systems development and lifecycle management experience with large-scale programs and diverse projects portfolios including information technology; C4 and logistics systems; science, technology and development, Mr. Batsakis understands the complex mission critical needs of DoD, the Intelligence Community and Civilian Agency environments. Mr. Batsakis has been Chief Growth Officer at CSRA Inc. since April 2016 and serves as its Executive Vice President. He has been Chief Growth Officer at SRA Companies, Inc. since March 23, 2016. He served as Senior Vice President of Defense Group at SRA Companies, Inc. until December 11, 2013 and Senior Vice President of National Security Group since December 11, 2013. Mr. Batsakis served as Executive Vice President for SRA's National Security Group from 2007 to 2015. Mr. Batsakis led SRA's National Security Group's defense, intelligence, homeland security and law enforcement-related business and was responsible for new business acquisition and contract execution in these market areas. He served as Vice President and Director of Defense Business Solutions at SRA Companies, Inc. since December 2007. He served as Vice President of Force Protection and Communications Operations for Tactical Systems at Northrop Grumman Corporation since April 28, 2006. Mr. Batsakis joined SRA in 2007 from Northrop Grumman, where he served as an operating unit vice president leading business development activities. Prior to that, he held increasingly responsible positions in information technology; communications and networking; and logistics systems at Electronic Data Systems (EDS) and Teledyne Industries, Inc. He served as Executive Vice President and General Manager of Defense Group at CSRA Inc. from November 30, 2015 to April 2, 2016. He attended the U.S. Army Officer Candidate School and served as an Infantry Officer in the U.S. Army and in various command and staff positions at U.S. Army Officer Candidate School and Field grades in the U.S. Army National Guard. He graduating from Hillsdale College, Hillsdale, Mich., where he studied political science and history. He holds a master's degree in business from John's Hopkins University, Baltimore, Md., with specialization in operations research and systems analysis, as well as program management certification in acquisition management from the Defense Systems Management College, Fort Belvoir, Va. He also has attended executive education programs at the University of Virginia's Darden School of Business.
