Mr. John R. Walter has been Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of CVR GP LLC, CVR Energy, Inc. and CVR Refining GP, LLC since January 14, 2015. Mr. Walter serves as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of CVR Refining, LP. He has been Senior Vice President of CVR GP LLC, General Counsel of CVR GP LLC and Secretary of CVR GP LLC at CVR Partners, LP since January 14 , 2015. Mr. Walter served as an Associate General Counsel of CVR Energy, Inc. since joining in March 2008 until January 2015 and served as is Vice President and Assistant Secretary. He has six years of private practice experience. He served as a Corporate and Transactional Attorney of Stinson Morrison Hecker LLP and Seigfreid Bingham Levy Selzer & Gee, P.C., both based in Kansas City, Mo for six years and he assisted clients with the negotiation and drafting of contracts, the acquisition or divestiture of businesses, corporate governance and regulatory compliance. Mr. Walter received a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Colorado State University and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Kansas.
