Robert M. Jackson — Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary at CyrusOne

Mr. Robert M. Jackson has been an Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary at CyrusOne Inc. since August 31, 2015. Mr. Jackson is responsible for providing leadership on all legal matters including transactions, governance, compliance, litigation and risk management. He has extensive knowledge of legal, tax and business compliance practices, as well as real estate acquisition, development and disposition expertise. He served as Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel at Storage Post, Inc., since April 17, 2014 and also served as its Executive Vice President, where Mr. Jackson led the legal, accounting and human resources functions. Mr. Jackson was responsible for providing leadership on all legal matters including governance, compliance, litigation and risk management, as well as capital markets, joint ventures and investments and led Storage Post's finance, accounting, investor relations and human resources groups. He has two decades of real estate investment experience as a Trusted Advisor and Business Leader focused on real estate investing, REITs and corporate governance. Mr. Jackson served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Cousins Properties Incorporated since December 2004, where he was responsible for the delivery of comprehensive legal services and provided executive leadership to the human resources and information technology departments. Mr. Jackson was responsible for all regulatory and transactional legal affairs, directing Cousins' internal legal team and working with outside counsel. He joined Cousins on December 31, 2004. He was a Partner at Troutman Sanders LLP from February 1996 to December 2004, initially as an Associate and then as a Partner, specializing in federal, state and international taxation issues. At Troutman, he advised public and private clients in connection with tax, corporate and real estate matters, specializing in partnerships and joint ventures. Mr. Jackson has represented developers and investors in connection with all types of real estate acquisitions, developments, financings, joint ventures, exchanges and dispositions. Prior to Troutman Sanders, Mr. Jackson began his legal career as an Associate with Johnson, Smith, Densborn, Wright & Heath in Indianapolis. He is a Team Manager at the Tophat Soccer Club. He is an Active Member of the community and is a Director of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business, a Juris Doctorate, with distinction, from the University of Missouri -- Kansas City School of Law and a Master of Law in Taxation from the University of Florida's Levin School of Law.
