Diversity Statement:
At Datadog, diversity means making a conscious effort to reflect the many experiences and identities of the world outside, while treating each other with fairness and without bias. Inclusion is the choice we make every day to foster an environment where people of all backgrounds not only belong, but excel, so that together, as a company, we can succeed.
Community Guilds:
Open to all who come in the spirit of collaboration, Community Guilds (CGs) are voluntary, employee-driven (and People Team-guided) groups of individuals who join together based on common backgrounds or demographic factors, and the allies who support them. CGs foster an inclusive environment, encouraging collaboration and increased sense of belonging across departments and regions. Ultimately the goal is to make Datadog a great place to work for all, and an ever more successful business. Our Community Guilds today include:
AMPED (Asian, Middle Eastern, Pacific Islander Employees at Datadog)
BIT (Black in Technology)
Parents
Rainbowdogs (LGBTQIA+)
Women of Datadog
DEI Recruiting Partnerships:
In addition to ongoing career fairs and speaking opportunities at conferences focused on inclusivity, these are the DEI partnerships our Recruiting team has created to ensure we are drawing candidates from a diverse pool. Some of these partnerships include: 50inTech, Powertofly, and Breakline.
DEI Learning & Development Programs:
At Datadog, we believe in continuous growth - across our product, our global footprint, and our people. In order to maintain this growth mindset, we commit ourselves to continued innovation, diversity of thought, and personal and professional development across the company - especially as we seek to become an ever-more inclusive company. That is why we invest heavily in the growth of our people, and feature DEI trainings to encourage, inspire and empower our diverse communities and allies. These programs include:
- Behaviors of Inclusion: Behaviors of Inclusion is a workshop we introduced at Datadog to help employees recognize the unconscious bias we all live with in our day to day. We are all biased, and yet bias doesn't have to stop us from being deliberately inclusive and leveraging our differences. In this workshop, employees learn the psychology of unconscious bias and its impact at work. Then they practice behaviors of inclusion - small habits that improve 1-1 interactions, gatherings, meetings, feedback, and decisions. They leave with greater confidence and simple tools to be a better advocate for themselves and others.
- Inclusion in Action: As a follow-up session to Behaviors of Inclusion, this session helps employees reflect on what has been working and what they haven't yet had a chance to implement from their learnings in Behaviors of Inclusion, as well as further integrates their learnings into their daily life. Employees leave with specific next steps to continue their inclusion journey.
