I think the pay is competitive compared with local opportunities. Even though there are no additional perks and benefits like local companies can offer, the higher salary compared to local expenses makes up for it.

We have no benefits - there is no dental insurance there is no 401k there is no yearly bonus over 20 bucks

We get paid less than the minimum hourly wage in US and no benefits no health nor dental no 401k less than 5 vacation days and are not allowed to get sick for over 6 days a year. Sounds like working for a Chinese company.

It takes a lot of education and experience and skills to be a good interpreter and translator, but, all that not taken into consideration when it comes to the pay rates. Raise the pay rates and appreciate the talents.
