Learn how to listen to employees. Also, spend more on developing core competencies of employees rather than superficial things like office decor.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
For the workload provided, I probably should be paid 2 persons worth of salary. I don't mind paying less, but workload definitely needs to be distributed more evenly to more headcounts.
Salary is nowhere near market standard. Managers also tend to implement outrageous policies that make no sense.

There's a power hierarchy in the company, which makes it hard to develop collaborative spirit within teams.
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Learn to ask employees what they need instead of making policies that do not benefit them.

Be transparent to applicants so that they won't be surprise with weird rules the company has.

Too much bureaucracy, not enough common sense
