Mr. Daniel Louis Amir has been Corporate Vice President of Business Development, Strategy and Investor Relations at DSP Group Inc. since May 24, 2016. Mr. Amir has over 14 years of institutional equity experience focusing on the hardware technology sector. He served as a Managing Director of Equity Research and Equity Analyst at Ladenburg Thalmann & Co. Inc., Research Division. He caters to hardware technology within the telecom, media and technology sector. Prior to this, he served as a Managing Director at Lazard Capital Markets LLC, Research Division until January 2014 and also served as its Senior Research Analyst from August 2007 to January 2014. He joined the Lazard Capital Markets LLC, Research Division in August 2007 and was employed there till January 2014. He covered semiconductor device and electronic component companies with a focus on memory, consumer, LED, and communications. He served as a Senior Research Analyst at WR Hambrecht + Co., LLC, Research Division, heading the firm's semiconductor research practice. Prior to that, he worked in semiconductor research and corporate finance as an Associate at Bear Stearns, Hotovec Pomeranz, and JPMorgan H&Q. He began his career as a Commander in the Israeli Air Force and also worked in the Israel Department of Treasury. He was recognized by Zacks investment research as Best on the Street in 2006 as the top technology/semiconductor analyst stock-picker in the US for that year and #2 stock-picker overall. Mr. Amir is mentioned frequently as a five-star StarMine analyst on companies under his coverage. Mr. Amir has an M.B.A. in Finance from the Anderson School of Business at UCLA and an M.A. in International Relations, and B.A. in Economics and International Relations from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
