Executive Bio

Howard Boville is general manager for Applications Services and Artificial Intelligence. Howard is responsible for creating growth strategies for Applications and AI at DXC and executing against those strategies.

Howard has over 25 years of experience working as a business technologist across sales, marketing, product development, engineering, operations and contracts. Most recently, he was Senior Vice President and Head of IBM Cloud Platform & Technology Lifecycle Services where he led the global cloud business and helped develop market-leading capabilities to drive digital transformation for enterprises, especially in highly regulated industries.

At IBM, Howard’s team was responsible for architecting and engineering IBM Cloud for Financial Services, a first-of-its-kind cloud designed for the industry to help clients modernize faster by de-risking and accelerating cloud adoption.

In 2021, Howard created the IBM Financial Services Cloud Council to help inform the laws, rules and regulations around compliance and security for cloud technology.

Prior to joining IBM Howard was Chief Technology Officer for Bank of America, responsible for the company’s infrastructure strategy across its eight lines of business. During his eight years at the bank, he led the transformation of its infrastructure, delivering one of the largest internal private clouds, which underpinned Bank of America's digital transformation and growth strategy.
