Executive Bio

Ray August is general manager of Insurance Software and Business Process Services for DXC Technology. His focus is on capitalizing on DXC’s leading position as the largest provider of insurance software and business process services to help customers protect, extend and transform their software investments to compete effectively in a digital insurance marketplace. With 21,000 colleagues around the world supporting customers, DXC holds industry leadership positions in life insurance, global specialty and reinsurance. Under Ray’s leadership, the insurance business is growing.

Ray also serves on the board of Velonetic, a London market joint venture for which DXC is the primary shareholder, to help guide the Velonetic team as they deliver on their commitments to the Lloyd’s and London insurance markets.

A 30-year veteran of the insurance and technology industries, Ray has successfully led companies through all stages of growth. Previously, as president and CEO of Benefitfocus, Ray transformed the benefits management software provider from a traditional SaaS provider to a robust platform company.

During his 14-year tenure at Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC), a predecessor of DXC, Ray held many positions, the most recent as president of the Financial Services Group. He also led the establishment of influential customer communities.
