Ms. Catherine B. Callaway James has been an Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Dynegy Inc. since September 26, 2011. Ms. James also serves as Executive Vice President General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at Dynegy Midwest Generation LLC. She served as Chief Compliance Officer of Dynegy Inc. since September 2011 until November 3, 2017. Ms. James is responsible for managing all legal affairs, including legal services supporting Dynegy's operational, commercial and corporate areas, as well as ethics and compliance at Dynegy Inc. In addition, she is immediately involved in the restructuring efforts underway at Dynegy. She served as General Counsel at Reliant Energy Retail Holdings, LLC since 2010. Ms. James leads the team responsible for providing legal support. She has almost twenty years of experience in representing energy companies, both domestically and internationally, with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, finance and complex transactions. She served as Executive Vice President and General Counsel at Dynegy Holdings, LLC since September 2011. Ms. James served as General Counsel for NRG Gulf Coast since August 2011. She served as General Counsel for NRG Texas and Reliant Energy from August 2010 to August 2011 and General Counsel for Texas NRG Energy from November 2007 to August 2010. She served as Vice President and Managing Counsel of Calpine Corporation and has held various key legal roles at Reliant Energy, The Coastal Corporation and Chevron. She has been a Director of New Hope Housing, Inc. since August 3, 2014. Ms. James graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Smith College and earned her Law degree from the University of Texas School of Law.
