Mr. Lucian Boldea, Ph.D., has been Senior Vice President of Additives & Functional Products at Eastman Chemical Co. since July 1, 2016 and served as its Group Vice President of Additives & Functional Products and General Manager of Specialty Plastics Business Organization. Mr. Boldea joined Eastman in 1997 in the Organic Development Department and in 2000, he moved to Global Technology Ventures. He was later assigned to Performance Chemicals and Intermediates Business Organization (PCIBO) where he served as Business Market Manager of Chemical Synthesis, Business Market Manager of AG and Pharmaceuticals and Business Manager for Chemical Synthesis at Eastman. He served as Director of Performance Chemicals Business Development and Technology at Eastman since 2004 and served as its Strategy and Business Development Director of SPBO since 2005 and was later assigned responsibility for SPBO Growth Platforms at Eastman. He also served as the Business Unit Director for Durables and SPBO. He graduated from West Florida University in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry. He received a doctor of philosophy degree in Organic Chemistry from the University of Florida in 1997.
