Executive Bio

Mr. Jeremy Paul Todd has been Senior Vice President of EMEA at eBay Inc. since July 2014. Mr. Todd is responsible for eBay's operations in major European markets (UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain) as well as in emerging, higher growth markets such as Turkey. He took over the helm of eBay's European operations in mid-2014, have previously led the global strategy team in San Jose. In that role, he worked to define many of eBay's strategic priorities, such as verticals, mobile and shipping. He also led extensive work on the competitive environment to identify how eBay should best differentiate itself commercially. He served as the Chief Products Officer of Rearden Commerce, Inc. (now Deem, Inc.) since November 2010. He served as a Product Management Director with Google, where he developed product strategy and brought products to market in several key areas. One of those areas was Google's travel advertising efforts, where Mr. Todd launched a new hotel data and advertising model. He also led Google Comparison Ads, an innovative new model for Google, which uses complex commercial data to create direct user offerings. In addition, he led several other areas at Google, including the development and launch of Campaign Insights, an innovative advertising product suite that fundamentally changes how marketing ROI can be measured. Prior to Google, he was a Partner with McKinsey & Company, where he led the North American high-tech strategy practice. He was a counselor to senior executives of several leading technology and media businesses and a recognized expert in online services, competitive strategy development and performance management. In the course of his ten years with McKinsey, he was based in the London, San Francisco and Seattle offices, where he led or contributed to over 50 client engagements across Europe, North America and the Far East. His experience covered online services, consumer and media industries, growth/business strategy organization development and sales and marketing. He is a seasoned technology executive whose career has been distinguished by innovation and a passion for technology and ecommerce ' in particular, the continual improvement of the customer experience. He has extensive international experience across strategy, product management and business development. Before joining McKinsey, he had several engineering management and project management roles with ICI PLC, one of the UK's leading industrial companies. Mr. Todd holds an M.A. in Engineering from Cambridge University in the UK, where he was awarded a Full Blue in soccer. He is also a Chartered Engineer in the UK.
