Dean A. Manson — Executive VP, General Counsel & Secretary at EchoStar Corporation

Mr. Dean A. Manson has been an Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of EchoStar Corporation since November 2011. Mr. Manson serves as Executive Vice President, General Counsel, Secretary and Director at Hughes Satellite Systems Corporation. He has been Secretary and General Counsel of Hughes Network Systems, LLC since November 2004 and also its Senior Vice President since October 2007. Mr. Manson has been Secretary and General Counsel of Hughes Communications, Inc. since 2004 and February 3, 2006 respectively and also serves as its Executive Vice President and served as its Senior Vice President since August 2007. He served as Vice President of Hughes Network Systems, LLC from November 2004 to February 3, 2006 and Hughes Communications, Inc. from February 3, 2006 to August 2007. Mr. Manson joined HNS in June 2000 as Assistant Vice President, Legal and in 2001, he became its Assistant Vice President and Associate General Counsel. Prior to joining HNS, Mr. Manson served as an Associate at the law firm of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP since September 1993. Mr. Manson also serves as a Director or Officer for several of Hughes Network Systems' subsidiaries. Mr. Manson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from Princeton University and a certificate from Princeton's Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs. He holds a Juris Doctorate degree from Columbia University School of Law.
