Mr. Philip Evans, also known as Phil, has been Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer at Emerald Expositions Events, Inc. since October 2013. He oversees all of Emerald's financial aspects including budgeting, forecasting, accounting, debt raising and cash flow management, tax planning, M&A activities, investor relations and regulatory and financial reporting. He has over 30 years of experience in financial roles. He served as Chief Financial Officer of ProQuest, LLC from 2009 to 2013. He served as the Chief Financial Officer of R.R. Bowker since July 2008. He served as Chief Financial Officer of Marquis Who's Who. He spent sixteen years at Reed Elsevier organization in various financial roles, beginning in the United Kingdom and culminating in New Providence NJ, via Dayton OH. He served as Chief Financial Officer of Martindale-Hubbell and from 2001 to 2006 was responsible for the acquisition and integration of several businesses. From 1997 to 2001, he Phil served as the Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis and then the Controller of LexisNexis in Dayton OH. He held several finance positions in the London headquarters of Reed Elsevier, including Corporate Finance Manager and Tax Manager. In his early career, he trained as a UK chartered accountant and worked for 7 years in public accounting in London, the last four years with Ernst & Young. He is an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and holds a B.A. (Honors) in Accounting & Finance from the University of Lancaster.
