Ajay Marathe ā COO at ENOVIX
Executive Bio
Ajay Marathe has served as our Chief Operating Officer since November 2022. He brings 38-years of experience to Enovix including holding executive positions at Western Digital Corporation, Lumileds LLC, Solaria Corporation and Advanced Micro Devices (AMD).
Most recently, Ajay was senior vice president of global operations at Western Digital, a $17 billion storage solution company. Prior to that he was chief operating officer of Lumileds for ten years, a $1.4 billion lighting company, with global manufacturing sites in the U.S and Asia, supplying consumer electronics companies, as well as the automotive industry.
Before Lumileds, he served as senior vice president of operations at Solaria Corporation, a solar module manufacturer. For nearly 23 years, Ajay held positions at AMD including Thailand director of operations responsible for assembly and test of six million units per week, vice president of operations of the 2,500-employee computation products group, vice president of operations for assembly and test, and finally president of AMD India LLC, a startup created to serve the country.
Ajay received a Bachelor of Engineering in production engineering from Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute, University of Bombay, India, in 1982, and a Master of Science in industrial engineering/operations research from Texas Tech University in 1983.
