Executive Bio

Mr. Robert E. Philips also known as Bob, has been the Chief Revenue Officer of Entercom Communications Corp. since November 17, 2017. Mr. Philips has been Chief Revenue Officer of CBS Radio Inc. since 2016. He served as Senior Vice President and Director of Sales at CBS Radio Inc. from July 2015 to 2016. He has also been Senior Vice President of CBS Radio Baltimore and Market Manager of CBS Radio Baltimore at CBS Radio Inc. since July 2015 until 2016. He manages local sales for CBS RADIO's 117 stations and oversees the Division's relationship with its national sales rep firm. He is charged with overseeing the day-to-day operations for the four station cluster, including WJZ-AM, WJZ-FM, WLIF-FM and WWMX-FM. During his tenure, he has directed the negotiations for broadcast rights to the Baltimore Ravens, Baltimore Orioles and Maryland Terrapin Sports, as well as oversaw the launch of the very successful CBS RADIO sports station, 105.7 the Fan (WJZ-FM). A 28-year broadcast veteran, he was named Senior Vice President and Market Manager for the Baltimore market in 2000. Prior to that role, he was General Sales Manager and then General Manager for Baltimore station WQSR-FM. In 1990, he joined Sconnix Broadcasting, where he served as Director of National Sales for six markets. He began his career as an Account Executive for United Broadcasting. Mr. Philips is an Officer for the Maryland DC Delaware Broadcasters Association and is also involved with many community and charitable associations in and around the Baltimore area. He has previously served on the RAB Advisory Board.
