Dr. Naredra D. Lalwani, Ph.D., FAHA, DABT, MBA has been the Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President of Research & Development at Esperion Therapeutics, Inc. since August 1, 2014. Dr. Lalwani has over 20 years of experience in the research and development of product candidates in the life science industry. Dr. Lalwani served as the Chief Scientific Officer at Cerenis Therapeutics from June 2007 to January 2014, where he led R&D activities for it. He served as Senior Director of Drug Safety Research and Development at Pfizer, Inc., from February 2004 to June 2007. Previously, he served as Vice President of Drug Safety Evaluation and a Member of the Executive Leadership team in the prior Esperion Therapeutics, Inc., since its inception in 1998 until its acquisition by Pfizer in 2004 and worked in the Department of Pathology and Experimental Toxicology at Parke-Davis Pharmaceutical Research, Warner-Lambert from 1990 to 1997. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Toxicology and also a Fellow of the American Heart Association. Dr. Lalwani holds a MS and a Ph.D. in Biophysics from the University of Bombay, a BS in Microbiology and Chemistry from Gujarat University and an MBA from the Ross School of Business, University of Michigan.
