Executive Bio

Mr. Bill Geist has been Senior Vice President of Finance, Programming & Ad Sales at ESPN, Inc since December 2006. Mr. Bill Geist serves as Senior Vice President of Finance, Programming & Ad Sales for ESPN networks, ERT and ESPN Radio. In this role, he is responsible for the financial oversight, annual planning, long range strategic planning and acquisition analysis of all domestic advertising sales, programming, and production costs for its television networks, plus ESPN Regional Television and ESPN Radio.. Prior to joining ESPN, he was a receiving manager and a distribution manager for Macy's for four years from 1986 to 1990. He then moved on to Carvel Corp, where he was a senior finance analyst from 1992 to 1994. He joined ESPN in December 1994 as a financial analyst in program finance, before moving up to manger, program finance in November 1995. In 1997 he was promoted to Manager, international finance. In 2000, he was promoted to director, international finance and in January 2003 to vice president, finance, programming, and planning. He was graduated from the University of Tennessee with a bachelor's degree in business administration in 1986. In 1992, he was graduated from the University of Connecticut with an MBA in finance.
