Mr. Robert Temple, also known as Rob, serves as Senior Vice President of Sports Marketing at ESPN, Inc. Mr. Temple served as Senior Vice President of Sports Management for Customer Marketing & Sales Group at ESPN, Inc. since June, 2014. Mr. Temple served as Vice President of Sports Management at ESPN, Inc. Based in New York, Mr. Temple's focus is primarily on the advertiser-driven marketing, packaging, sales and activation of ESPN's sports properties through the utilization of ESPN's leading family of media platforms, valued brand and related assets. Since 2006, he has been working broadly across the full portfolio of sports at ESPN, from the NBA and NFL to MLB, NASCAR, X Games and many others - notably highlighted by ESPN's major success around the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa, and intensive preparations for the World Cup 2014 in Rio. He has been closely aligned with the tremendous growth of ESPN's college sports portfolio over the last decade, and have been instrumental in developing a range of industry-leading partnerships for major clients related to the company's college sports programming. Prior to arriving at ESPN, his 20-year career in sports media and marketing included both domestic and international experience (including five years in Sydney, Australia) across such leading sports properties as: the Olympic Games, NCAA Championships/Final Four, SEC, motor sports, FIFA properties, Rugby Union, Tennis, Aussie Rules Football, cricket, golf and thoroughbred horse racing. During his time in Australia from 1996 to 2001, he was the General Manager of Olympic and Sports Sales and Marketing for The Seven Network and led that network's highly successful marketing and sales efforts for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games. Mr. Temple was graduated from the University of North Carolina in 1988 with a bachelor of arts in political science.
