Executive Bio

Ms. Rosalyn Durant serves as Senior Vice President of College Networks & Programming at ESPN, Inc. Ms. Durant served as Vice President of College Sports Programming at ESPN, Inc. Ms. Durant oversaw all aspects of the 24 NCAA Championship events across ESPN, college rights acquisitions, and setting the strategic programming direction for ESPNU, ESPN's 24-hour college sports network, and ESPN's high school coverage across platforms. She was responsible for maximizing the value of ESPNU properties across ESPN's multimedia assets, including television, internet, radio, print, broadband and wireless. Her duties extended to regular interaction with all facets of ESPN's business: remote and studio production, customer marketing and sales, affiliate sales and marketing, consumer marketing, research, legal, communications and finance. Ms. Durant served as Vice President of ESPNU since 2008 and her role was expanded in 2011 to include ESPN's coverage of high school sports and again in 2013 to include the management of NCAA Championships and conference relations. She served as Vice President of programming & acquisitions, where she managed ESPN's relationships with the NBA, Major League Lacrosse, Major League Soccer, FIFA, UEFA, US Soccer and Olympic sport leagues. Ms. Durant played a significant role in the eight-year contract extension with the NBA announced in June 2007 and included ESPN's most-comprehensive digital rights package negotiated with any major professional sports league at the time. After interning with ESPN in affiliate sales and marketing in the summer of 1998, she joined that department full-time in 1999 as a coordinator. She served as Regional Account Executive since January 2000; Account Executive, southeast region since June 2000; Senior Account Executive of western division since March 2002; Manager of national accounts since October 2004, and Senior Director, national accounts since October 2005. She serves as Director of the T. Howard Foundation. She is an alumnae of the Foundation's internship program. She was elected secretary in 2012 for a two-year term (2013-2014). Ms. Durant was graduated in 1999 from the University of South Carolina with a bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism and a minor in marketing.
