In my position in Fremont, I am 50% under-paid as an engineer in the bay area.
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Be honest about work timeline and schdule to customer and us. Manufacturing works extremely crazy shifts and fast with extremely limited resources at Essai.
What would you improve about your company's interview process?
Discuss and ask more technical skills, qualifications, and background questions so I can feel like I am going to be able to contribute to the department.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Willingness to change, less of attacks on people when the problem is the person doing the attacking have self-esteem issue, and derogatories remarks during business interaction in Fremont.
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
Most co-workers I had worked with in Fremont are are good at what they do. However, there are few bad batched due to relax hiring. Difficult to change their mindsets.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Unless we start acting like Sony, Philips, Boeing, Raytheon, Google, Apple, Amazon, it is going to be very difficult to make any improvements. Likely house cleaning and change in most upper managment will be required to bring in new people who are more aware of the business and customers.
