Mr. Keith J. Dougherty has been the Senior Vice President of Merchandising, Inventory & Pricing at Essendant Inc. since August 25, 2016. Mr. Dougherty spent seven years at Salomon Smith Barney, focusing on private equity coverage and executing in excess of 40 financing and advisory transactions. In 1999, Mr. Dougherty joined U.S. Foodservice and served as its Vice President of Corporate Development. Mr. Dougherty also directed the sale of U.S. Foodservice to Royal Ahold nv in April 2000 for $3.6 billion. Mr. Dougherty served as a Senior Vice President of U.S. Foodservice since January 2001 and took over the additional responsibility of managing U.S. Foodservice's $1.5 billion chain distribution division. In 2002, Mr. Dougherty joined Fox Paine. He served as a Director of Paine & Partners Capital Fund III, L.P., Paine & Partners, LLC and Fox Paine Capital Fund II, L.P. Mr. Dougherty served as a Director at Fox Paine and Company. He was the valedictorian of his high school and is a graduate of Princeton University with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Honors, 1992.
