What's the office vibe like at FaceCake Marketing Technologies?
Top Employee Response
Great vibe within the core group. Strange vibe with the CEO and her family members. Most of whom are in out of the office daily and are allowed to effect policy.
What are your coworkers at FaceCake Marketing Technologies like?
Great. There's a great team there who have had to be very adaptive considering the unorthodox work environment. Close group.
What's the interview process like at FaceCake Marketing Technologies?
I was interviewed for a specific role, but ended up doing everything but. The interview itself was quite enjoyable compared to the intimidation of coding tests and white boarding. Mostly just chit chat and a review of work you've already done. Kinda nice actually.
What part of FaceCake Marketing Technologies's business is growing fastest? What part is having difficulties?
In store installations are doing well. Mobile/web apps not so much.
If you could make changes, how would you improve the culture at FaceCake Marketing Technologies?
Other than the bizarre favorites and gossip games, the biggest change needed at FaceCake is ANY discernible structure or organization. Projects are often rushed, very quickly and recklessly to production. Usually what goes to production was a proof of concept the day before. Unit testing and QA are unheard of and one might get snapped at for suggesting such structure.
How's the work life balance at FaceCake Marketing Technologies?
Employees are rewarded and get in good graces the longer they stay in the office, not necessarily even working, just being present for 12-14 hours. That being the case, work life balance is not ideal.
How does FaceCake Marketing Technologies make decisions around promotions?
I received a promotion when I was making a decision as to wether or not I should move back east. Otherwise, promotions are unusual at best. The stated reason is always that the company's shares are the final reward, but considering they're private, it's not much of a consolation.
How's the vacation policy at FaceCake Marketing Technologies?
Fine. 2 Weeks as a I recall, or 10 business days.
Does FaceCake Marketing Technologies have any remote positions?
One employee worked from home, but it was a constant point of contention with the CEO, despite the arrangement being in his contract. Otherwise the CEO was vehemently opposed to anyone working from home for any reason, much less as a remote employee. Her reason being she felt the need to "see the whites of their eyes". Strange.
