Farmers continues to take measures to become a more environmentally focused organization that operates in a way that benefits our people, planet and communities. Farmers is committed to fighting waste by eliminating single-use plastic as we strive to be a plastic-free enterprise. Our efforts include: More than 22,000 pieces of plastic diverted from landfills by eliminating straws and other plastic utensils, more than 4,000 eco-friendly food containers used, and recycling more than 62,000 K-Cup® pods.* Customers also have opportunities to help reduce waste by choosing paperless billing and payment options for Farmers policies.

Giving back, serving others and making a positive impact in communities across the nation is at the core of Farmers® social responsibility efforts.
One of the major ways we put our values into action is through our philanthropic efforts focused on disaster resilience. Aiming to help reduce the impact and risk of disasters on communities, we strive to make a difference through enhancing disaster resilience in the areas of preparedness, response and recovery.
We help communities get ready
by sharing best practices and safety information/education materials
We help communities get through
by providing immediate and experienced response, and supporting
first responders
We help communities get strong
by helping rebuild more sustainable and resilient communities
As Farmers strives to maintain a high standard of responsible corporate citizenship, we donate our time and resources to nonprofits that help make a difference in our communities. We have strategically aligned ourselves with four national nonprofits: SBP, Team Rubicon, Operation BBQ Relief and National First Responders Fund.
