Scott P. Spector — Partner at Fenwick & West

Mr. Scott P. Spector is the Partner in-charge of the employee benefits group in the law firm of Fenwick & West LLP. He specializes in serving high technology and software clients in establishing and administering equity compensation and other employee benefit arrangements. His practice emphasizes mergers and acquisitions and the compensation issues that arise in connection with such transactions and in representing executives in employment negotiations. Mr. Spector is the Chairman of the Section on Executive Compensation of the Federal Regulation of Securities Committee of the Business Law Section of the American Bar Association and is the former Chairman of the Section on Federal Securities Regulation of the Committee on Employee Benefits of Tax Section of the American Bar Association. Mr. Spector is also on the Board of Advisors of the Practising Law Institute, and has been a frequent speaker on securities law, employee benefit and stock compensation panels. He has lectured and written extensively on the legal and technical issues involved in executive compensation and securities laws relating to executive compensation. Mr. Spector received his Juris Doctor from Tulane University in 1974 and his Masters in Law (in Taxation) from New York University in 1975. He is a member of the California, New York and Illinois bars and numerous bar associations, including the American Bar Association.
