James G. Orie — Chief Legal Officer at First National Bank
Executive Bio
James G. Orie has served as F.N.B. Corporation’s Chief Legal Officer since 2004 and became the Company’s Corporate Secretary in 2015. Orie manages FNB’s in-house Legal Department and has primary oversight of the Company’s and its affiliates’ matters involving board governance, fiduciary, legal risk management processes, acquisition transactions, SEC reporting and disclosure and regulatory and legal compliance. He brings nearly 35 years of legal and bank regulatory experience to the role.
Before joining FNB’s Legal Department in 1996, Orie held roles as counsel with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, as well as Chief Counsel for the Office of Thrift Supervision’s Pittsburgh office and lead counsel for a Pittsburgh-based law firm’s corporate, business and banking practice.
Orie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, PA. He earned his Juris Doctorate at Duquesne Law School in Pittsburgh.
