Michael Selfridge — Chief Banking Officer & Senior EVP at First Republic Bank

Mr. Michael D. Selfridge, also known as Mike, has been the Chief Banking Officer at First Republic Bank and its Senior Executive Vice President since joining in March 2012. Mr. Selfridge is responsible for Northern California Private Banking, Information Technology and nationwide Business Banking. Previously, he served as Chief Operating Officer of First Republic Bank from February 26, 2014 to December 31, 2015; Deputy Chief Operating Officer from January 23, 2013 to February 26, 2014 also served as its Chief Risk Officer. Prior to joining First Republic, Mike served as Head of U.S. Regional Banking at SVB Silicon Valley Bank (also known as Silicon Valley Bank). Mr. Selfridge served as Head of Global Products and Services in the Global Financial Services Group at Silicon Valley Bank since June 2005. He joined SVB in 1994 and held various other senior management positions over an 18 year period including its Senior Credit Officer of the Southeast region and Senior Vice President of the Northern Virginia Technology Group, where Mike was responsible for lending to early and later stage technology companies and venture capital firms. Prior to this, he was with HSBC and also Wells Fargo Bank. Mr. Selfridge serves on the Board of Directors of Catholic Charities of San Francisco. Mike earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo and an MBA from University of San Francisco. He is a graduate of the Harvard Business School's Advanced Management Program.
