Mr. Manfred Schaffer has been Group Executive Vice President of Minerals Division at FLSmidth & Co. A/S since January 1, 2015 and served as its President of the new Minerals division. Mr. Schaffer served as Group Executive Vice President of Mineral Processing division at FLSmidth & Co. A/S from September 1, 2014 to December 2014. He held various managerial positions in Sandvik from 2003 to 2013, Most recently as President of Mining Systems from 2012 to 2013 and President of Surface Mining from 2006 to 2012. From 1998 to 2006, he was heading Sandvik Materials Handling and Voest-Alpine Materials Handling in Austria. He held various managerial positions at Voest-Alpine from 1979 to 2003. Mr. Schaffer holds a Mechanical Engineering degree, IFL Executive Education and IMD People Development and Business Strategy.
