Executive Bio

Mr. Thomas P. D'Agostino, also known as Tom, has been President of Government Group at Fluor Corporation since August 4, 2017. Mr. D'Agostino served as Senior Vice President of Strategic Planning and Development for Fluor Government Group International, Inc. since October 2013 and served as its President. He Joined Fluor in 2013. Mr. D'Agostino served as Director of National Nuclear Security Administration from August 2007 to January 18, 2013 and served as its Under Secretary from 2007 to 2013. Mr. D'Agostino joined NNSA after a career in the Navy, serving aboard the USS Skipjack, a nuclear-powered attack submarine. He served as Deputy Director of the NNSA, overseeing much of its nuclear weapons work, beginning in 2006 and took over the agency's top job in August 2007. He has been a Director of NuScale Power, LLC since July 24, 2017. In the U.S. Naval Reserves he reached the rank of Captain and served with the Navy Inspector General and with the Deputy Chief of Naval Operations for Submarine Warfare. He also spent more than eight years on active duty as a naval submarine officer. At the NNSA, he was responsible for maintaining the safety, security and effectiveness of the U.S. nuclear weapons stockpile. Prior to that, he served as the Deputy Administrator for Defense Programs and directed the Stockpile Stewardship Program and major elements of the NNSA's Nuclear Security Enterprise. At the NNSA, he was responsible for maintaining the safety, security and effectiveness of the U.S. nuclear weapons stockpile. Additionally, he worked on the start-up of the Department of Energy's tritium production reactors and the Naval Sea Systems Command as a program Manager for the SEAWOLF submarine propulsion system. He is a recipient of the James R. Schlesinger Award, the Presidential Rank Meritorious Executive Award, the Navy Commendation Medal with Gold Stars, the Navy Achievement Medal, the Navy Expeditionary Medal, the Meritorious Unit Commendation and the National Defense Services Medal. He spent more than 36 years in the government sector in a wide variety of leadership positions. He holds a Master's Degree in national security and strategic studies from the Naval War College, a master of science in business finance from Johns Hopkins University and a bachelor of science in physical science from the U.S. Naval Academy.
