I started from the bottom as a part time instructor when I was still in college, and since then have worked my way up to being promoted to an Instructional Supervisor. Teaching game development and design is fun, and it makes it so I never had to dread going to work every day!

Even though we are remote, we all join the same zoom meeting and see everyone every day

Seeing the reactions of the students and families in classes. Hearing success stories or positive feedback from students' parents.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
How personable they are. The leadership is not just a machine sitting above us. They are involved and constantly communicate.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
When I was promoted to a higher position, the raise for the promotion was less than I would've received for the annual raise for the previous position. My annual review date was also pushed back 8 months.
