Executive Bio

Mr. Aaron M. Goldman serves as a Managing Director and Head of Financial Services & Software for EMEA (since Sept 5, 2017) at General Atlantic LLC. He joined General Atlantic LLC in 2007 and previously served at the firm as a Principal since December 2013. He has spent the past 10 years focusing on global financial technology investments, with a focus on payments, e-commerce, and data analytics software. He serves as a Senior Associate at The Foresight Institute, where Mr. Goldman's areas of focus include life science technologies, MEMs and nanotechnology. He served as Vice President of General Atlantic LLC. Mr. Goldman spent five years with the growth equity arm of Fremont Group in San Francisco, where he made several investments in the Internet, communications and healthcare sectors. Prior to this, he spent five years as an Associate at Fremont Ventures. He was an employee at Credit Suisse (USA), Inc. He joined Fremont Ventures in February 2000 and focused on e-business, communications and medical diagnostics. He worked with the General Partners at Fremont Ventures on many portfolio companies and made several investments in the internet, communications and healthcare sectors. While at the firm, Mr. Goldman served as the President and Chief Financial Officer at LPL Technologies and as a Board Director and Board Observer for a number of companies and organizations. He started his career at Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette (DLJ) as an Analyst, where Mr. Goldman served as a Generalist and eventually joined the Leveraged Finance group, where he worked with financial sponsors on a variety of equity and debt financings, mergers and acquisitions and leveraged buyouts. Prior to this, he served as a Financial Analyst at Merrill Lynch & Co., Inc. in the Corporate and Institutional Client group. He interned at Texas Pacific Group. Mr. Goldman serves as Director of LPL Technologies, Inc. and Atairgin. He also serves on the Board of Adyen. He serves on the board of directors of Citymeals-on-Wheels. He has been a Board Observer at Network International LLC since August 17, 2016. Mr. Goldman is a Board Observer or closely involved with General Atlantic's investments in Sura Asset Management, Mu Sigma, Pierpont Securities, Markit, Affinion and Net1. He has done an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School where he graduated with highest distinction and was a Baker Scholar and a B.S. in Economics with a concentration in Finance, magna cum laude, from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
